Job Description

We’re hiring first and second year electrical apprentices to work with our red seal journeypersons, both with 15+ years of experience. Priority will be given to applicants who have completed a Construction Electrical program. Experience in electrical construction is required.

The purpose of this role is to perform the general duties of an Electrical Apprentice, such as assisting to assemble, install, testing, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment in buildings and other structures. Major Accountabilities

• Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
• Splice, join, and connect the wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
• Pull wire through conduits.
• Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breakers.
• Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of the system, following installation, replacement, or repair.
• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and replace faulty components.
• Interact with customers and assume responsibility for ensuring corrective actions with customer specifications.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $16.00-$19.20 per hour
