Carbine Operator

  • Agency selects course/training required; should attending members meet prerequisites
  • Agency will download the QF135 Course Registration Form by clicking on the register now tab
  • Download the enrollment form and save as the following: Name of agency, name of applicant, name of course and date
  • Agency completes the Course Registration Form (with as much information as possible) and email a completed copy to the APA In-Service Mail Box found at apainservicetraining@hollandcollege.com
  • Email and attach the completed form using the same name of agency, name of applicant, name of course and date as the subject line. This will allow for quick and streamlined processing of the application
  • Agency will be provided with a follow-up email advising of the result of their attendance
  • Should a member be selected for training, the member will be provided with joining instructions to assist with their enrollment

Course Description

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and effectively handle and operate the C8 carbine for professional use. Weapon nomenclature, troubleshooting, manipulations, and marksmanship techniques are covered. Participants must complete the carbine course of fire to the required standard to become certified.

Course Prerequisites

  • Current armed sworn peace officer in good standing of law enforcement/ public safety agency
  • Be supported by immediate supervisor and or chief of service
  • Participants must be certified in the use of a firearm (pistol) at the time of training.

Note: Agencies are required to bring their own service weapon and ammunition, anticipating firing in excess of 1,000 carbine and 200 pistol rounds. Agencies unable to provide their own ammunition may purchase it from the academy. For pricing details, please email apainservicetraining@hollandcollege.com.
